Conservation Partnerships

Over the years, Billy Hassell has had the opportunity to partner with a number of large and small regional and national conservation-related organizations, including the Texas Nature Conservancy and Audubon Texas. He currently partners with Texas Parks and Wildlife, Friends of Fort Worth Nature Center, and the Big Bend Conservancy.
In November of 2017, Billy joined the board of the Big Bend Conservancy (formerly Friends of Big Bend National Park). He has participated in several significant projects benefitting the national park, most notably the completion of the newly renovated Fossil Discovery Center located along the north entrance of the park.
For both Audubon Texas and Texas Parks and Wildlife, Billy created two series of five limited-edition (30) color lithographs in celebration of their conservation initiatives. Lithographic prints from both projects are still available for purchase; however, very few remain from the Audubon Texas series. The newest series, Keeping it Wild, produced for Texas Parks and Wildlife, are available through galleries in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Keeping it Wild Series

Billy Hassell is currently collaborating with Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation on a series of five lithographs to support Keeping it Wild: The Campaign for Texas. The fundraising campaign is the most ambitious project ever undertaken by the Foundation and proceeds from the sale of the lithographs will directly benefit the effort.

“Nature has fed my soul for my entire life. I appreciate what the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Foundation are doing to protect Texas landscapes and wildlife, and it is gratifying to participate in an effort to conserve what I love.”
Billy Hassell
